July 16, 2005 Bangkok, Thailand
After 14 months at my university, and about two years total in Thailand, it's time to move on. I never really intended to stay here long, just enough to get a real taste of a foreign culture, as opposed to just traveling through. It's been a pretty difficult experience for me, since things are done differently here. I'm glad I had the chance to live and work here, though
I'm plotting a course through China, including Tibet. I'll hit China hard, then I'll be ready to come home, around the three year mark for my trek. First, I have to get rid of all the stuff I can't fit in my backpack (like the TV). It's sort of a weird reversal of what I went though before I originally left.
