It may look like a huge storm is blowing in, but it's just the nightly six o'clock rain.

There are some strange vehicles on the streets of Bangkok. Most are hybrids based on motorbikes. Perhaps the strangest is the “stickermobile,” which sells a wide array of stickers and inflatable toys. It’s not a unique vehicle, there are many of these, which raises some questions:
(Note that there is a white truck right behind the stickermobile.)
Ever have a pressing need for a broom, feather duster, or toilet cleaner? Well, in Bangkok cleaning supplies are never far away, because a “broom-bike-mobile” is always nearby. I guess I have no excuse for not keeping my apartment clean.
With all the sidewalk restaurants needing fresh vegetables, many ‘veggiemobiles” ply the streets to keep them supplied. They consist of the poorly-designed and dangerous, yet popular motorbike-with-cart-welded-on-front.
There is now an impromptu night market at Siam Square, selling cheap clothes to students. I think it’s because the government forces the malls to close at 8 pm to “save energy,” so all the clothing vendors in MBK have nowhere to go. So they just head across the street.

The Siam/Chit Lom area is packed full of shopping malls: MBK, Siam Center, Siam Discovery Center, Central Chit Lom, Central World Plaza (World Trade Center), Gaysorn Plaza, and Erawan. Soon the massive Siam Paragon will be finished, which has been under construction for two years. Among all this out of control development is a temple.
Construction on the new computer labs at my school pauses while the workers take a break.
